My reflection on the whole process of major project and digital art class

My overall reflection on Digital Art class.

Now it is the end of the term I am so happy about the fact that I have come all this way and done a lot of things. In the beginning I was confused and it was hard to get used to all new thing especially, using computer and all software was rather overwhelming to me. However, by the time pass by, I got familiar with process and systems and now I feel much better.

To start with, I learnt sequential photography and it was a good chance to know a little bit more of my classmates. Also, I got to know how to make and upload on our blog. Looking at numbers of people watched my blog was another interesting experience because I could see which one people are interested. All the comments tutor gave to me was another way to communicate with tutor which I hadn't tried before.  

I started to use Photoshop after there was a group project. My group had to make an advertisement which is related to my major for next year. At the time, I learnt how other people who are going to study the same major think and make ideas. It was a great opportunity. Then we made a presentation and got some feedback and looked how other groups present their work. To be honest, it is a lie if I say working as a group was not tough at all but it was a worthy time. If I had a chance to do this again I would have tried to make the group more cooperative each other. On the other hand, using Photoshop was so hard. I think I should have asked more question to the tutors.

In terms of researching tutor told us was factors should we look on and how to evaluate them.

So we could do more critical approach. It was especially helpful when I had to do research for my major project because I had to find a lot of technical information on other shoes brands.

    

Then I got to create my own website it was so interesting that I could try what I have seen in many of the websites. There were so many options I can choose and functions as well. Everything looked so state-of-the-art. So now I have my confidence that I may be able to create a website at the time I need.

During the major project I really had to use all the software such as Photoshop and illustrator. The fact that I can use photoshop and illustrator changing was a sensational thing. At the beginning, it was difficult but by the end of the project I found myself enjoying using them. I am surprised now that I can use quite a lot of tools. It is so satisfying. However, It is a shame that I couldn't fulfill my original goal which was making 6 designs. Even so. because I like my designs I hope they can make up that loss. As I was used to making specs with digital media I think I was not very experimental. I could have gone with many different designs and colours but because I already spent too much time on every one I didn't have time to go with another one. I learnt how to research fabrics and technical terms and how shoes brands introduce and communicate about their products with customers. It was a useful adventure.

Last but not least, I want to thank you to all the tutors and classmates for supporting me and giving feedbacks and helped me to improve myself. If it hadn't for them I couldn't have made it. I am looking forward to my next term, the things I am going to learn.
